hi, I'm Anna

Writer & Traveler

Texas, USA

Home base and heartland. I grew up in Fort Worth, where my dad runs the rodeo, the sunsets go on forever, and I learned early that storytelling and Southern hospitality are powerful things. Everything about me starts here.

Fort Worth

Central America & the Caribbean

Think mango juice, sea breeze, and dancing that starts at sunset. From Puerto Rico’s unmatched warmth (both literal and emotional) to cliff dives in Cozumel and slow mornings in Belize, this region is full of joy, rhythm, and color. I always leave a little happier than I arrived.

Mexico, Belize, DR, Honduras,
Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico

Canary Islands & the Iberian Peninsula

Fuerteventura is my ride-or-die island — Bella and I return whenever we need sunshine, snacks from Dino Market, and beachy freedom. From late-night Lisbon strolls to sleepy afternoons in Lagos, the Iberian Peninsula has always felt like vacation in its purest form: sandy, salty, and full of life.

Spain, Portugal

Indonesia

Sunrise hikes, motorbike rides, and the kind of jungle stillness that makes your brain slow down. I surfed in Lombok, stared down cliffs in Nusa Penida, and caught my breath again in Bali. If there’s magic left in the world, I think it’s probably here.

Bali, Nusa Penida, Lombok

Scandinavia

We booked the Harry Styles concert on a whim and were in Stockholm 24 hours later — not my most rested moment, but one of the best. Later, I took the train, boat, and bus across Norway, and the scenery physically stopped me in my tracks. Clean, wild, and full of feeling.

Sweden, Norway

Turkey

Possibly my favorite place on earth. Sun-drenched and soul-stirring, this stretch of the Turkish Riviera is where I ate the best meals, swam in the bluest water, and felt the most like myself. Dreamy doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Kalkan, Kas, Turkish Riviera

United Kingdom & Ireland

Lived in London, studied at LSE, drank a pint in almost every neighborhood. But the real memory lives in a can of cocktail, a Subway sandwich, and a cliff picnic on the Isle of Skye with my best friends — one of the most perfect meals of my life.

England, Scotland, Ireland

Northern Africa

A $27 roundtrip flight turned into a whirlwind through Marrakesh’s medina, souks, and rooftop cafés. It was chaotic in the most wonderful way — filled with color, spice, and the constant sense that something unexpected was around the corner.

Morocco

Canada

There’s something grounding about British Columbia — like you’re always five minutes away from fog and stillness. Coffee tasted better, the air felt cleaner, and I took my time, for once.

Vancouver Island, Victoria

United States + National Parks

I've driven across the States more times than I can count, hiked through iconic national parks, and slept in ski towns, island cottages, and city apartments. My version of the U.S. is a patchwork of adventure, nostalgia, and diner breakfasts at dawn.

National Parks, Major Cities, Road Trips

Hawaii

Where I met my boyfriend — on a hostel-organized waterfall hike, of all places. Hawaii gave me sea turtles, lava landscapes, and the kind of sun that makes everything feel like a memory already. I left with tan lines and a new chapter.

Maui, The Big Island

Thailand

Thailand is a sensory overload in the best way. I stayed at an ethical elephant sanctuary, explored temples, and never quite figured out how to cross the street in Bangkok (but loved it anyway). Every day felt like a highlight reel.

Phuket, Bangkok, Chiang Mai

The Mediterranean

From re-living Mamma Mia on Skopelos to cliff diving in Cyprus to sipping wine in Tuscany, the Mediterranean taught me how to romanticize everything. My camera roll has never been so full of sunsets, ferry rides, and pasta.

Italy, Greece, Monaco, Cyprus

Western Europe

This is the version of Europe you dream about: Paris picnics, canal bike rides in Amsterdam, and champagne toasts in Monte Carlo. I also once slept on the floor of the Vienna airport to catch a €12 flight — balance.

France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Monaco

Eastern & Central Europe

I called Prague home for a year, and used every weekend to explore nearby cities like Budapest, Split, and Mostar. These travels weren’t fancy — they were chaotic, funny, unfiltered, and full of character. My budget was tight, but the memories are rich.

Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina

I’m currently working as the Editorial & Marketing Intern at Regenerative Travel, where I create SEO content, support influencer outreach, and help tell stories that center sustainability and cultural preservation. I also worked with @servedbysara (57k+ followers) to build backend systems and scale strategy with intention. This fall, I’m moving to Lisbon to continue building a creative, purpose-driven career in media and travel.

2025

I moved to London to pursue my MSc in Media and Communications at the London School of Economics, graduating with Merit. My studies focused on narrative, technology, and global culture, and my dissertation — awarded Distinction — explored cosmopolitan love in Call Me By Your Name. While in London, I also wrapped up strategic content work with TX Van Company.

2024

I spent the winter and summer of 2023 in Jackson Hole, working in hospitality while remotely leading marketing campaigns for TX Van Company. I wrote newsletters, crafted SEO content, and helped grow organic traffic by 15% month-over-month. That season taught me how to build relationships across time zones — and how to tell a cohesive story both online and face to face.

2023

I moved to Prague to earn my TESOL certification and teach English to adult learners. I designed customized lessons, tracked progress, and built trust across cultures — all while navigating a new city and language myself. That same year, I joined InGenius Prep as a Graduate Coach, helping students tell authentic, compelling stories in their college applications.

2022

The summer after graduation, I worked at Millie’s on Nantucket — one of the island’s busiest restaurants. I served guests from around the world in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, learning how to stay calm, solve problems quickly, and deliver thoughtful, high-touch service. It was a crash course in communication and grace under pressure.

2021

At Boston College, I earned a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Film Studies and graduated cum laude. I explored global media, campaign strategy, and narrative theory — while working as a student caller at the Alumni Center, where I spoke with hundreds of alumni and refined my ability to connect, persuade, and hold space for a good story.

2017 - 2021

I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, where my dad ran the local rodeo arena and community meant everything. Surrounded by grit and storytelling, I learned how to read a room, connect with anyone, and adapt on the fly — skills that have followed me into every creative brainstorm and cross-cultural experience since.

About Me

The LONG STORY

Professional storyteller, recovering academic, forever curious.

My background is a mix of communications, media, and creative strategy, shaped by a deep interest in how people share ideas. Whether it’s building campaigns, writing essays, or mapping out digital content, I’ve always been drawn to the craft of turning complexity into connection.

This site brings together the threads of that work alongside the things I’m still exploring. Think of it as equal parts portfolio and personal project — a space for experimenting, reflecting, and sharing stories in motion.
